Pakistan Urdu School marks Children's Day

A CELEBRATION to mark Universal Children's Day will be held at the Pakistan Urdu School, Isa Town, tomorrow.
The event is organised by the Institution of Engineers Pakistan - Bahrain Chapter (IEP-BC) in association with the Pakistan Urdu School.
It will feature speeches by Pakistani Ambassador Jauhar Saleem, UN information Centre director Nejib Friji and Public Commission for the Protection of Marine Resources, Environment and Wildlife environmental control directorate waste disposal unit head and engineer Rehan Ahmed. There will also be presentations by school children.
The United Nations Universal Children's Day was established in 1954 and is celebrated on November 20 each year to promote international togetherness and awareness among children worldwide.
The United Nations Children's Fund, promotes and co-ordinates this special day, which also works towards improving children's welfare.
